A 100-year-old coffee estate in the volcanic highlands of Tepoztlán. Ten rooms. One restaurant. A working farm that became a hotel because the owners refused to let the land stop being used with intention.

The brand doesn't announce itself. It reveals itself slowly — through the weight of the paper, the temperature of the palette, the precision of the type.
Obsidian, ash, copper, deep green, terracotta. The palette comes from what the volcano left behind, not from a trend report.
Hand-stamped, imperfect, intentional. The seams show because they were meant to.
Not premium because of polish. Premium because nothing was rushed — including the silence between elements.
Different motivations. Same standard. All three converge on what the brand refuses to be — performed at, themed up, or polished smooth.
"I came for the varietal. I stayed for the people who grow it."
Single-origin obsessive. Treats the estate as a destination, not an amenity. Knows the difference between washed and natural processing. Wants to meet the farmers, see the drying patios, understand this hillside's terroir.
"My grandparents had a hacienda. I'm looking for the real thing, not the costume."
Mexican or Mexican-American with ancestral ties to campo life. Speaks Spanish at home. Knows when something is authentic vs. themed. Pays for cultural fluency, refuses theatre.
"Texture over comfort. I'd rather feel something than be pampered."
Creative director, architect, brand founder. 32–48. Travels for material experience, not luxury benchmarks. Will pay $500/night without hesitation if the experience earns it.
None of these guests want to be performed at. All three reward quiet expertise, cultural fluency without theatre, and intentional restraint. The brand doesn't have to choose between them — it has to be true to all three simultaneously, which is the same thing as being true to the place itself.
Twelve colors across three families. Earth is the surface, warm clay is the warmth, copper and ember are the accents that live.
The wordmark stamps. The slab anchors. Inter serves. The mono marks.
Estancia Cafetera
Ten rooms. One restaurant. One hundred years.
Casa Higuera
Guests come from Mexico City and New York. They come to slow down without giving up precision.
Every surface carries the weight of the place. Volcanic stone underfoot. Hand-thrown ceramics on the tables. Copper in the kitchen, dark wood in the corridors, morning mist on the windows before the staff has finished setting service.

The voice matches the typography: quiet, precise, literary — never decorative. We say what is true and stop talking.
"The coffee was planted in 1924. The rooms came later."
"Welcome to our luxurious historic boutique hotel experience!"
"Breakfast is at the time the kitchen is ready. Usually by seven."
"Enjoy our gourmet breakfast served daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM."
"Ten rooms. No two are alike. None are accidental."
"Choose from our 10 beautifully designed unique accommodations!"
For commissioned photography and AI image briefs. One direction. Both surfaces. The image should feel observed, not produced.
What the tokens power. The proof this is a system, not a mood board.
Public-facing. Editorial pacing. Type-led. Hero is the name, set in display. Tokens import directly as variables.
Pre-arrival and in-stay. Mono labels, display headings, restrained UI. The brand doesn't leave when you book.
Heavyweight stock. Letterpress where possible. Copper foil on the menu. Hand-stamped room numbers.
Section 06 is the brief. Palette, light direction, subject hierarchy — all token-bound, all consistent.
Door tags, key cards, restaurant menu, breakfast card, leave-behinds. The system on paper, ceramic, wood.
Stamped not printed. The mono face does the work. Numbers over names where possible.
Drop into Framer, Tailwind, or Figma variables. One file. One system. Everything derives from here.

The brand system is locked. The next sprints build surfaces using this foundation. Nothing in Sections 01–08 should change without a formal sprint review.
